For example a couple of my door panels are starting to shrink and fold in because of how close it is to the flames of the gas stove. Be careful of bread toasters and steam from kettles because they will also shrink the laminate on the doors as well.

luckily my door didn't have that problem.
The cabinet frame melamine was peeling where it is near the stove tho!
