Some people on this thread need to face reality - the new IS is outdated even before it's launched.

I've driven all 3 generations of IS, and owned the first 2 gen of IS for 9 years combined now

I've owned the 2 of the first generation IS300. Combined, I've owned both for over 4 years

I've owned my 2006 IS350 for 4 years

I've owned my IS-F for 9 months now. I've driven the 3rd Gen IS for 1 week

My IS-F is my 4th Lexus IS that I've owned.

Is the new IS going to be reliable? Very likely yes.

This new generation for 2021, isn't just going to be left behind, but pretty much dead in the water. The specs are not competitive, and going with just a facelift is not going to help in such a difficult market.
