I'm in Coquitlam 3-4 times a week and have passed by multiple RCMP cruisers without issue. Been getting looks every now and then but so far so good.

Your friend can dispute anything you want but technically license plates covers are considered an "obstruction" from what I understand so it'd be against the MVA
