Now that we're about 6 months into this whole pandemic, anyone having any concerns that this will be the new norm going forward in entirety? Will large parties, concerts, major indoor events be stopped entirely for years to come?
I'm truly starting to wonder this due to the fact that any actual vaccine will have its issues with public buy-in. We already have a major anti-vax movement in the Western world, and given the otherwise shortened development span of the vaccine, what happens when people decide not to get treated?
We will never be able to achieve herd immunity unless the majority of people get the vaccine. I think this will be a major barrier that I fear some people aren't thinking about here.

Some stuff might be able to be mitigated with PPE but for anything lengthy or that requires food/drinks it won't work. Being at a music festival wearing an N99 all day won't go well.
Possibly requiring proof of vaccination before entry is permitted? The pro-plaguers might make mandatory vaccination difficult but if they're denied permission to fly, enter some businesses, maybe even some apart complexes, etc. at least their negative impact will be reduced and a lot of them that aren't as hardcore about it will bail pretty quickly when they realize they can't do much. Of course there will always be idiots who get fake certs like some Americans going to the Bahamas which is where harsh precedents for those who knowingly put others at risk will have to come in.
