I have a family member who might need to go back. - From what I know, you need to stay in their exhibition haul upon arrival for 8-10 hours.
- If you fly with Cathay, you depart Vancouver at midnight and arrive in the morning hours in HK in which you will stay for 8-10 hours.
- However, if you fly with Air Canada, the flights depart near noon and arrive at night in HK in which you will need to stay for 8-10 hours. But from what I understand, if you arrive at night and stay, they force you into a hotel instead of the exhibition haul as its overnight?
Can anyone confirm this?
Also, are you allowed to carry-on a container of lysol wipes? I am assuming aerosols are a no go for sure...
I just want to prepare them the best I can.

Just bring the wet ones antibacterial wipes that come in packs of 20 wipes if you don't have any other options, it may not be for hard surfaces but at least you can keep your hands pretty clean without having to constantly leave and go wash your hands in the bathroom.
