It's a bit of premium, but I swear by Miele's DW after my parents' dw (LG one) went kaput and we switched to Miele followed the technician's recommendation. He didn't sell them, so there was no conflict of interest... well... it worked so well that we never needed his service ever again for a good 5+yrs.
His explanation was that many brands use a lot of plastic parts in them to save cost, while Miele uses mostly stainless steel for those equivalent parts.
And it also had the lowest power consumption while really does a good job cleaning dishes.
I'd recommend to take a look at them if you are shopping for a new one.
