Some things don't translate well to driving. Modern phones are great and work well... when you're not driving. You used to be able to punch out a text with one hand without taking your eyes off the road. Same thing thing with current infotainment systems... you can pack a lot more features into the touch screen and that's fine... when you're not driving. When I'm driving, I just want to turn a knob to adjust the volume and not have to take my eyes off the road to see if I'm touching the right spot on the screen.
