I believe Jason (the owner of Single V) got them made in collaboration with Burnaby Potters Guild.
Regarding burrs, I would say you will see a noticeable change/improvement with burr alignment and geometry from light roasted espresso beans. I could attest to this when I changed my mazzer SJ burrs to SSP reds.
