The E9X interior doesn't have a "wow" factor but I think the non-idrive, black leather interior has aged nicely. I had a E90 sedan until 2017 and the interior was simple, easy to maintain and didn't rather/squeak as much as my older E46.
That said, I do love the older interior smell of a E46's. must have been the leather or glue.
