Sure I'll respond to this. Let me start by saying Joe Biden has never been my first choice, so forcing me to come in here and cape for him just isn't realistic in my opinion. There is no doubt in my mind that Hunter Biden never deserved a spot as a high ranking position for a Ukrainian firm, you'll never hear me argue against that.

As I've said before, his name carries value, a foreign company will happily pay a person with a name tied to the Vice President of the US to represent them without a second thought. The same way you would never have heard of Willow or Jaden Smith if they weren't the children of Will.

The thing is I can see nuance to all of this. You've heard of the term the lesser of two evils, I see Joe Biden as the representation of just that. I don't see the world as simply black and white as welfare or Hehe do, who can't hold their supported candidate to the fire for his obvious and rampant corruption. This isn't a zero sum argument, if you follow both Trump and Joe Biden's careers, the obvious levels of corruption and criminality are quite apparent when viewing Trump's history.

Do I think Joe Biden and his family have benefited from his place in government? Of course. There is a reason why the average senator at the bottom end is at least a millionaire. You don't acquire that type of wealth through only civil service. To decry Biden, and yet ignore Trump's criminality is what I find disingenuous. Joe Biden has been a public figure for damn a half century, if this is the most dirt you can pull on him, that's pretty weak in my opinion.

Now in terms of this story specifically, I cannot lay any judgement yet. I require more information, and it does not help that the only news sources reporting this story are rightwing in nature, there is a clear bias. As more information comes out, I will be happy to provide more of an opinion.

To me though, this election represents more than this story, it's what Trump represents not only as a person, but to culture in general, and the insidious parts of our society that he provides breath to.

It sounds like this business partner will be going in front of the house representatives, so we'll see how this unfolds.

An e-mail to Hunter Biden's partner from a top Chinese official on July 26, 2017 shows the Chinese energy company CEFC proposed a $5 million "interest-free" loan to the Biden family "based on their trust on [Biden] family[.]"

Less than two weeks later, on August 8, 2017, $5 million was wired from a CEFC-affiliated investment vehicle to a Delaware LLC, which spent the next year transfering nearly $4.8 million directly to Hunter Biden's firm, according to Senate investigators

In a statement emailed to The Federalist and other news organizations, Tony Bobulinski, a former Biden partner, confirmed he was a recipient of an email published by the New York Post last week, dated May 13, 2017, showing Hunter Biden was offered a contract worth $3 million a year for “introductions alone.” The same email included an obscure note to setting aside 10 percent for “the big guy,” which Fox News reported was a reference for Joe Biden which has now been corroborated by Bobulinski.

“Hunter Biden called his dad ‘the Big Guy’ or ‘my Chairman,’ and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing,” wrote Bobulinsky, who was recruited to serve as the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings in partnership with the Chinese firm CEFC led by Ye Jianming by Hunter Biden.

A Senate report released last month revealed Ye and his associates held extensive ties with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Bobulinski also confirmed earlier New York Post reporting that Joe Biden had been lying when the Democratic candidate repeatedly denied having discussed business with his son, “or with anyone else.” Joe Biden even went as far as to fat-shame an Iowa voter for pressing the former vice president on the apparent conflicts of interest during a December town hall.

“I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business,” Bobulinski wrote. “I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.”

Bobulinski continued, saying the Chinese were interested less in healthy financial returns on investment than they were “political or influence investment.”

Bobulinski said he had been contacted by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Senate Finance Committee Wednesday afternoon and intends to produce the requested documents “in the immediate future.”
