Manual MK7 PP GTI owner here. I have the DAP as well and used ACC once a few years back going from Hope to Kelowna. I basically found a person on the Coq and got behind him and set my distance and speed.
The car did the rest and it was really sweet as I just relaxed my legs and kept it in 6th. When the car needed to accelerate or slow down to keep the distance, shifting up/down would not interrupt the system either.
I don't believe I used lane keep assist on that trip as I didn't find it that helpful.
This was all done in clear perfect weather towards Kelowna. On the way back it was raining and got really foggy in the mountains so I did not use ACC . Hope this helps!
