If you watch through this video, there are multiple angles showing the white SUV earlier on following directly behind the bus with its flashers on.
Also here's a screen cap of the truck coming into the SUV's lane and pushing it out of its position from behind the bus:
It's pretty obvious this truck came in and pushed its way in from the side intimidating the SUV and the SUV was forced out of its position behind the bus, but was still trying to straddle that lane/not give in too much to the intimidation / tries to stand its ground and then the truck ultimately sideswiped it.
From 22 seconds to 25 seconds of the video I just posted, the SUV is going straight the entire time and the truck twice very clearly turns into it to make contact. It doesn't matter that the SUV is straddling the line, you don't turn into someone else's vehicle on purpose and make contact with it.
