Are these treads you are trying to repair from a wood screw? If that's the case. Wooden chopstick smacked into hole and screw the fastener back in. Best quick fix for repairing worn out screw holes in wood. Those disposable chopsticks are best. Maybe drill it out a bit, pun intended.
