I'd say there isn't even a contest between these two.

I was feeling extra cheap 2 tanks ago, and put some Chevron 91 into my car instead of its usual Shell V-Power or Chevron 94 diet. Holy mackerel the engine started feeling soft and lathargic soon after the fill up, and while I can't hear any pinging, it definitely felt like the ECU was pulling timing.
