As has already been said, data dictates the decisions.
Homes don’t have covid protocols, mask mandates, division between tables of people who aren’t in the same household.
Nobody is “flocking to businesses with full capacity and no restrictions.” You know those lineups outside and restaurants operating with 50% capacity and table capacity restrictions? That’s not “no restrictions.” Not to mention the gyms, spin classes and various places that have been ordered to shut.
You might not care if you get to work from home, but I’m pretty happy to keep my staff employed and able to pay their rent and mortgages, as they can’t braise meats in their home office and just compile it to drop off at someone’s house as part of an order. There’s a balance that needs to be maintained and peoples health comes first, livelihoods come second, and dry turkey dinners with your family and friends at your house are down at the bottom of that list.
It’s completely reasonable to have issues with how things have been handled, however, they have to be based on reality and not just being upset about it.
