Another tip that people might already know but still worth mentioning: There are manufacturer sales incentives and there are dealership sales incentives.
In most cases, the dealer will be reimbursed by the manufacturer for any manufacturer incentives offered. They act like the discount is coming out of the dealership profit margin, but it's not. So don't let that discount influence your negotiation too much because you can get that same discount at any dealership you choose.
It's been years since I was in the dealership business, so things may have changed, but that's what I remember at the time at least.
