We all feel just 1, 10 or 1000 cars wouldn’t make too much difference in our air pollution. But you know what? It’s start. One less air polluting car on the road means there is one less source for pollution for the next 10 years.

You can bitch about Tesla, but it’s irresponsible and selfish of a citizen to say just because we don’t make much difference, we should stop the movement altogether. EV is not just some hippie thing like gluten free that one does for the sake of doing. EV is about how we should be responsible in our transportation. Little, yes, but it’s worth continuing.

I did my share on converting both cars in our family to EV, just so that me, my kids, and you and many others can have 2 less car worth of pollution. You are fucking welcome.
Your two EV’s don’t even qualify as a proverbial drop-in-a-bucket in the fight against climate change. Maybe an aerosol particle. Personal vehicles play a far smaller role compared to commercial aircraft and vessels. So unless you’re going to hop between cities via a road trip in your EV’s on the Supercharger network, or cruise ships and aircraft suddenly adopt EV motors or hydrogen power, driving an EV is just little more than a feel-good contribution to climate change. You’re not realistically doing anyone a favour other than yourself.

I’m all for the electrification of vehicles, but to paint them like world-saviour unicorns is a little extreme. We’re at the start of a process that’s not yet at the accessible level in terms of pricing and convenience where a real difference can be made.
