i think it's age and what it was at the time.
I played D3 on PS3 and Switch and it was nice to play on the couch with dummed down controls/gameplay suitable for a controller and for a casual gamer which i've become.

D2 for me is nostalgia for sure, but with so many diff classes, so many diff skill tree/builds, AND the fact you can play up to 8 players at the same time was huge.

when i played D3 on PS3/switch, i was mostly solo'ing for the most part which is much more boring. doing sancturary/meph/baal runs with 8 people was just fun.

i think it'll take away a bit of the awe in the sense online gaming is such a norm.
I hope it's a $40 game or less on switch as well. i don't mind trying it for that platform as i'm not sure i have a PC powerful enough to run it, i mostly use PC for youtube and office work these days...

the video of d4 did look like just another d3. maybe i'd enjoy d3 more if the switch/ps3 had an online community...
