I have a zotac trinity 3080 white
It was mining at 110°c with the fan at 100% and the mh just kept dropping...
So I uninstalled it and waited until my thermal pad replacement setup was ready
Today I replaced the pads, I opened up the gpu, and there was a missing pad for one of the memory chips!
Also on another memory chip the pad was only aligned to 3/4 of the chip!
The thermal paste on the processor was paper thin, looked like a thin milky layer, as if the processor was poorly cleaned and had paste residue...
The backplate had pads everywhere, none missing
The pads on the front are 2.5mm but I only have 0.5mm ,1mm ,2mm or 3mm, I didn't want to stack pads, so I risked it and put 3mm's on
(the pads on the backplate are 2mm BTW)
After plugging the zotac back in, I gave it a slightly higher overclock +1300mem (instead of 1200) fans at 80% and the memory junction is at 78°c
However I think the 3mm pads r too thick, so the processor is running at 58.5°c
So I put the fan at 90%, it dropped the processor to 53°c/54°c and the memory junction is down to 74°c
Edit: I used the thermaltight 12.8wmk 3mm pads btw
