There is no way BC Hydro is going to be able to ramp up energy creation to meet the demands of the other 98.9% of vehicles even years after the 2040 NDP mandate (which will be canned). BC Hydro stated a few years ago that if the number of EV's rose to 10% they'd be tapped out. Not to mention the charger infrastructure that would have to be put in place to be able to efficiently keep all 2.5 million+ vehicles moving. And this is all just for the province of BC!

Until an as of yet undiscovered source of clean renewable energy comes in to service gas powered vehicles will be sold and on the roads for decades to come, and it's time people and politicians grew up and did that math. The virtue-signaling green policies that will never come to fruition are nauseating at this point.
Nevermind that the planet will be stripped bare by all the resources that's needed to create that many batteries for EVs.
