I've had this debate with many ppl and you are right.
What's even worse is that look at states like California. During peak energy usage, they have rolling black outs because the energy usage is too great during the middle of a heat wave and everyone is home with their AC's on.

I think this is more likely unless they can find a better way to store energy while using less of the metals that they currently use now.
