I'm sure everyone has heard the reports, but she's definitely seeing way more people in our age group (30's) getting admitted into the ICU due to COVID. She was all down last night because one of her patients aged 32 ended being moved from acute care to the ICU yesterday.
Another 30-something actually passed away last night from COVID.
Many of these people though have underlying health issues (although not all).
The overall narrative still here is take care of your health -- If you're one of these people who sit on their ass all day, eat bullshit all the time, and whine and worry about COVID, you're a damn fool.
No one should be stopping their fitness regimes or allowing themselves to succumb to bad habits as a result of this pandemic (sitting around all day sedentary drinking beers, no exercise, poor diet, etc.)
Those habits are far more dangerous then COVID, and I've noticed many of these folks that are extremely fearful of COVID also living such unhealthy lifestyles, with little or no want to change that fact.
I find that so perplexing.

I've seen this with some of my friends who use to be quite fit and active. They don't go to the gym anymore (for good reason) and just sit on their asses all day.
Luckily I have a gym in my building which I have private access to based on booking to keep fit, with the weather getting nicer I'm also back to running to outside.
