I think I will hold out for the 30xx to become available...

Do you guys go to the physical stores to chat with the staff and ask questions?
Personally I've found the employees at Memory Express to be much more personable and friendly compared to Canada Computers. The ones on West Broadway anyway. They are across the street from each other.
I went to CC to purchase a SSD and the service was so... nonchalant. I asked if I should get the Samsung EVO or the Western Digital, the older asian man just blankly stared "do you want it or not" kind of attitude.
I would have given my money to Memory Express but they didn't have any stock at that location. Last time I was at Memory Express the guy there spent a good 30min explaining to me the differences of some motherboards and video cards and was totally cool with me taking up so much of his time.
I've always felt that while both ME/CC are great if you want just a quick in/out transaction, ME was always the better choice if you wanted to ask a few questions. People there tend to have a genuine interest in the technology, are much friendlier, and aren't just salespeople.

I used to go to the Richmond ME location a lot. One of the managers there recognized me each time I went there. I think the last time I went was around 2015 before it closed shop.

Fast forward to last year, that same manager ended up moving to the Burnaby location since the Richmond one closed down. While I didn't expect him to recognize me after all these years (especially while wearing a mask), he recognized my name when I went to go pick up an item. I was honestly amazed.

Another time, I went to go pick up a PCI-E riser for a case. One employee (that wasn't even helping me) walked by and reminded me about potential issues and how I might need to manually force PCI-E 3.0 if I have a more recent motherboard. While I probably would've figured it out if I was having the issue, it was nice of that employee.

Pretty sure that none of these things would've happened if I was shopping at CC.
