If I could do it again, I would probably buy a lab-diamond. The ethical side of a lab-diamond combined with some money savings is a plus. My fiancee isn't materialistic and doesn't have toxic friends who would diss the ring though. She definitely dgaf about the stone's specs especially during covid and WFH everyday.
Just cared about what it symbolizes and oooh shiny.
