No kidding, I'm sure some people get caught in the system both ways... but makes me think of a coworker I had a few years back, she literally had a pick-up truck back up into her at a drive through, yes the person lost control and the back tire of that truck drove up on her hood, but we are not talking a substantial impact, its a damn drive through???
Using that "accident" she managed to stay off of work for 1.5 years and when it all got settled she took medical retirement (!!!!!) because her lawyer was able to prove she couldn't work anymore in an office.
What did she do after? Took her payout and bought a big boat and a hunting lodge in the interior that she now runs. Couldn't work in an office, but can run an entire hunting lodge? Makes sense.
So happy to see that type of shit shutdown... but I do feel for the people who are honestly suffering immensely from injuries they've sustained at someone else's fault.
