So, I happened to notice this little blurb in the FAQ section on the ICBC website:
-------------
Q: I have three collector cars. Can I switch one set of collector plates among vehicles?
A: Only if you have a collector multi-vehicle plate and you own several collector vehicles, but drive only one vehicle at a time.
To qualify for a collector multi-vehicle licence plate, you must be the registered owner or one of the registered owners of the cars and they must all:
be registered in B.C.
be pre-approved by ICBC to share the collector vehicle plate
have collector status, and
be either all cars and trucks or all motorcycles.
Find out more about Collector vehicles.
--------------
I followed the link... but zero mention of this under the Collector Vehicles information area... so I called the program directly and asked about it because I actually have 3 different cars with collector plates on them currently... and it's true! You can get 1 plate and he told me it says something unique on it about being a floating plate and whenever you drive a car you put the plate on... and the ones not being driven are automatically on storage insurance... so basically you pay a reduced rate for all 3 cars when pooled.
He told me just to go to an autoplan place for a quote BUT he also told me most likely they will have no idea what I'm talking about because there are only 238 active policies like this in all of BC haha...
I'm going to follow up and check it out, see what the savings are.
