So you end up with people who don't like it and basically rag on it for everything. I'd also say people with too high of an expectation of a portable AC.
First off, as far as I know, portable ACs are going to be loud, regardless of brand or model. Some people might be more sensitive to noise than others, but unfortunately it's pretty common across the board.
Secondly is that for the BTU output and energy they use, portable ACs just aren't very efficient compared to window ACs or central air.
Also when they say its 'portable', it's not really that portable in that you can easily switch it from room to room.
I think it's pretty pointless for people to complain about it if their alternative is not having an AC.
