Question
I've had internet issues for months with Shaw, random disconnects that got worse over time to where it was happening every other hour for 5-15 mins at a time to where it eventually went completely dead.
I've had techs here, they got it working but speeds are slower than before. I pay for 600mb down I'm getting 150-200 on my pc that's connected directly to the modem.
The weird part is shaw came out a few days ago and replaced my run from box to street and now I can pull 450mb on my cellphone on wifi connected to the modem (previously 100) but PC is still the same 150-200. Makes no sense I can get better speeds on wifi then I can directly connected to modem. I've also tried changing the network cables.
I'm using the network card that came with my motherboard Asus Prime Z490-P and drivers are up to date. I never had an issue with speeds before the internet issues started. They did replace my modem last week. I've ordered a new network adapter for my pc, I'll try that but if that doesn't work anyone have any idea where to start trouble shooting or anything I can try?
