18 months and we're still at "statistically"
People refuse to see the big picture. The danger to kids doesn't matter. The fact that they can keep the virus going indefinitely is what matters.
Literally the entire world needs to be 80% vaccinated. Or with closed borders, countries needs to be 80% vaccinated. Without that, we're basically where we were last April, but with fewer hospitalizations and deaths. That is until the eventual variant pops up that wipes everyone out, vaccinated or not.
Getting a vaccine or not isn't a matter of opinion. It's not political... People who refuse it are actually dangerous to humankind. Their bet is that a hugely dangerous variant will never, ever pop up in their lifetimes. Because if it does, then the hope of the sensible portion of the population is that they get culled from the population, leaving the rest of us to pick up the pieces, finally conquer covid, and move on with life. It's funny because there's a dumb Marvel movie where this pretty much happened.. Except those people ain't coming back....
