Thanks! I was able to clean the target drive (Samsung) using diskpart after unplugging the original SSD and booting from a thumb drive.
Then I ran Macrium Reflect again to clone my old OCZ drive and I was able to resize the partition to take up the entire space of Samsung. Turns out I missed the option to set the new partition properties:
When you click on "Cloned partition properties", you get a slider that you just need to drag all the way over to the right.
So now my Samsung drive with a clone of the old drive is the only drive connected, but the computer won't boot from it.
It is a MBR disk so it can simply use legacy boot. Computer "upgrades" are always so simple in theory, but all sorts of weird problems always come up.
