Typically you have to wait until you actually hit 2/32, since that’s when the tire is actually worn out. Mileage warranty can be difficult to claim, but if the vehicle has receipts for rotations, winter swaps etc which you should have (since it’s Costco and all that stuff is free). They might ask about alignment but if the tire is evenly worn, it shouldn’t be an issue (assuming the entire contact patch is 2/32, not just the inside or outside).

Far too many people try and claim against the mileage warranty with camber worn, heavily feathered or chopped tires. Or they have never come back for a rotation and they can’t produce receipts m/paperwork, and only the fronts are bald etc. If you have done your due diligence, go in and ask them to make up a dummy work order that says you were here, that the tires were worn to 4/32 and were told to come back at 2/32 to claim warranty
