If anything, in addition to keeping aznboi's record clean, it's possible BMW also wanted to fight the allegation that their car is not legal.
But even then, once again, they got what they paid for. Case thrown out.
I really doubt BMW was paying the lawyer to fix the greater good issue, even if that's what we all (aznboi + community) wanted. If this case had ended up contributing towards that, then it is a bonus.

BMW doesn't care about VPD and what they're doing, I was hoping we can utilize their time for the cause but it didn't work the way we want.
