I saw parts of the debate and it was entertaining.
Blanchet really didn't do anything but shake his balls on Quebec nationalism. Whatever he said didn't really matter in the end because no leader (except the Greens who have nothing to lose) is going to speak out against Quebec or face political suicide which shows how messed up our political system is.
I felt like every time Jagmeet spoke all he did was call out Trudeau in a very blunt way. Come on bro what's your platform?
Erin O'toole came out playing it safe and sidestepped a lot of the social issues which the debate weighed heavily on. I'm not sure what he's actually going to do. How he'll approach COVID worries me a bit but the current status quo of pissing money at anything and everything while accumulating debt to keep everyone afloat is not sustainable. At some point very soon Canada will need a Conservative government to get us out of this mess.
I overall dislike JT but he looked stressed like he was just one comment away from throwing the podium. I give him a lot credit for handling the pandemic well despite a lot of money being wasted and going to people who don't need it. It feels like Canadians don't care about finances maybe because they don't see it, don't understand it, and are probably poor with finances themselves so they continue to vote JT. Despite his deep flaws and the fact that he hasn't accomplished anything prior to becoming PM, he'll continue to get votes because Canadians perceive him to be a humanitarian.
And the Green Party lady, she was pretty bad ass haha
