My dream house I want lots of parking on the property. I like to randomly look at houses at a majority of them don't have much of a driveway. I think that's my main thing if I were to get my "dream" house. I would need a nice driveway.
For that Southlands seems like a good place to buy. I don't know what the zoning is like there but it seems like you can build two houses on a single lot: https://www.rew.ca/properties/329844...rty_click=map# Bet you could build a huge driveway by situating the house far back.

Create your family estate -- build 2 houses plus outbuildings totaling over 12,000 square feet! Beautiful and unique property in exclusive Southlands Village. Two separate freehold titles w/ over 20,000 sf of land each: nearly a whole Acre in Kerrisdale! Overlooking Point Grey Golf Course, 3 blocks to McCleery Golf Course. Short walk to Crofton House & Kerrisdale Schools. Miles of walking/biking/riding trails along the riverfront to Pacific Spirit Park. Zoning allows you to keep horses or have a hobby farm if desired, and pay less property tax. Ten minutes to UBC, less than 20 mins to downtown/YVR. Move-in, rent out, hold, renovate, re-build, or re-sell one of the lots and keep the other. Country lifestyle in the heart of the city. One of a kind property. Viewings by appointment only.
You can also have a horse stable down there so when your friends come over to visit you can ride up to them on a horse like you're a duke or something.
