You can still do that in an older car if you do everything right. Our honeymoon was in the m3 and it was 4000kms in 10 days. Earlier in the month we did an 1800km road trip with it. I keep tools, zip ties and fuses in the trunk, but I’d recommend that in a new car too. Thing is with an older car you need a couple years most likely before it’s where it should be.
