76 db pretty loud, not quite fire alarm loud, maybe about 10db's below that.

Not really. Unlike a Fire Alarm system, there's actually no code or law requirement to do so with parkade gas detection, even on commercial/institutional buildings.
The only time that I really ever see it monitored is if the building has an automation system.
