^I agree with this.
It's frankly disgusting that we're talking about booster shots out here, meanwhile the majority of the third world hasn't even had their first dose.
It really is the new colonialism --rich countries sitting on surplus vaccines.
If we were so committed to fighting the possibility of new variants, as a world society we'd be putting more of an effort to rollout vaccines (and bypass patent clauses) to the third world.
We're not though, with companies like Moderna charging
2 times the cost of the vaccine in other countries:
