Agreed, or at least a side hustle.
I estimate commercial but I can make decent money estimating on the side, I just have to be careful I don't look at anything that the company I work for is looking at because of conflict of interest. I usually work for contractors in other Provinces when I do it but not always, that said I'm totally upfront with the company I work for about doing it although not really sure I have an obligation to tell them.
