The great thing about trades is the barrier of entry is relatively low and the pay is relatively good. If you make the right decisions you can do relatively well.
When I was still in autobody I was hitting $100k bonus included on flat rate time. Ended up taking a paycut to $80k then raise to $90k for a closer shop. Great points on making right choices as not all trades people would make that.
