It's bullshit because 3 different employees tried to help us when we were browsing the store, even the manager himself. Then when we got to cashier it was ID rule in place. If we didn't look of age, then why even start offering service to us to get sales?
The stupid part was the cashier said once we buy more than one bottle of wine, we ask for ID (we had 4 bottles). So if we had one, that's okay you don't ask for ID? None of their words align as well, the supervisor came over and he said in theory I could walk out, and come back in alone to buy these if I wanted. Manager then says ID or no alcohol.
You're right, the underaged or shady person stays outside the store waiting and not go in (if they aren't of age). So why would I bring my fiance into the store if she's not of age. We've come to age where need ID this and that, it's rather annoying when you can't even go out without ID.
