We got my daughter one when she was about 29 months (end of summer) and we kinda missed the window to get her outside with that. She's been wheeling it around a bit inside the house and looks like now (34 months) that she may be coordinated enough to go outside with it (still needs a helmet though). She's a shrimpy one though so she barely fit on even the smallest balance bike so the bike is, overall, big for her.
