This is only for people who have INPA or other BMW scan tools that can see what's the issue with the car. It does look clean, so it could be worth something to a BMW fan who has too much time on their hands.
One thing that comes to mind is that on an E39, the traction control module is located in the engine bay, which means it overheats over time. This can cause the DSC and ABS lights to come on.
