Someone has to be pretty insecure with themselves to heckle random people standing on the street, especially making such assumptions as "duh because dems is walking deys must be dose lefty environment".

Like shit, the primary reason I walk to work is because it's a bit of exercise and starting up the car and driving it for only 1.5Km is horrible for it in terms of wear and tear.

My wife takes the bus because parking downtown is non-existant and unsafe, and we have 2 very convenient, direct bus routes to choose from.

Plus, it makes me enjoy driving for pleasure on weekends far more.

The environmental reasons for commuting this way rank extremely low on the list of reasons.
