I grew up in Newton in the 90’s and have seen way too many good people make shitty decisions to try and be “cool” or impress others. Both male and female. The sad part is, the girls get hurt the worst by douchebag losers and probably carry their experiences for the rest of their lives.
Peer pressure is a hell of a drug.
