The heat has totally changed in the last few days -- it still gets hot from the afternoon all the way through to early evening, but soon after the sun drops, the temps drop off rather quickly and stay cool enough that it doesn't really get hot again until some time in the afternoon the following day. It's very different from the mid summer heat, and is basically telling us that summer is almost over now.
