I’ve spent a lot of time in WA as I had a girlfriend down there and commuted weekly… core Seattle is okay but you even go up to Everett or Mill Creek or south to Tacoma or Olympia fuckin forget it. Even Marysville on the east side of the highway (not the west side where the outlets are).
Unfortunately it’s not just the bumfuck areas, Everett is like 15-20 minutes out of Seattle on a good traffic day.
Even Bellevue is a shithole for cultural understanding, it’s not full of these fucktards play fighting and marching but it’s the rich whiteys running the show there.
Storytime: granted this was 12 years ago, things have changed, but I used to drive a tinted out Lexus LS400 and I got pulled over at exit 177 (Lake Forest / Everett) one day, was super confused as I wasn’t speeding etc… the sheriff deputy came up the passenger side of my car and I had my window rolled down and his exact words to me when he looked into the car were “Oh… you’re not black” and then he turned around and went back to his car and drove away.
Yes it was 12 years ago but what in the actual fuck???
