How much mileage do you expect to put on the car and do you drive the hell out of it or drive like normal as you would in Richmond traffic? Will you even hit 8K KM this year?

I'm of the opinion Toyota knows best since your car has been built to some very tight tolerances. Perhaps a matter of time and heat cycles as GIZZ does on his Honda motor, but I can only assume (emphasis on assume) his is a daily driver or a race engine of some kind. On my motorcycles, I used to rev the living crap out fo them to red line for a number of rides then change the oil. They never gave me a problem but I don't recommend doing that to your car lol

For transmission, I'm not familiar with this part. I'd leave it as is. Maybe if Lexus misdiagnoses your car, you might get a new transmission, just like how I did under warranty.

For an auto trans I'd do take whatever the manufacturer recommends then do it twice as often. But I guess it depends on the car.
