With 500+ hp and ~4000 lbs, the current C63S can already overwhelm its brakes relatively quickly. That is not to say the brakes suck; in fact, it is quite the opposite: the brakes are absolutely awesome with massive stopping power and a fantastic feel. The problem is -- with so much power on hand, moving such a massive amount of weight, no amount of regular street-oriented pads can handle repeated abuse.
With the new car upping both the power and weight numbers, it is only going to get worse. It is definitely not going to be an ideal track car LOL~ But I am hopeful that Mercedes will give it some very good handling for the amount of weight it has to manage.
