They deserve all our sympathy but we should not further enable sub-standard living conditions. If anything this just "hides" even more how desperate we are for more affordable housing.

Hey it's your home (I'm assuming you're an owner based on your previous posts). Don't come crying to us when your neighbour floods their unit due to an overused toilet or they start a fire. You think you'd want to protect your biggest investment from becoming a flophouse.
