I think a big part of the culture problem is that this team never had the last group to mentor and slowly pass the torch to them. Bo is the only guy in the room from when the twins were around. Boeser had one year with them.

The twins had a rough start in their careers, but they played behind the West Coast Express. Linden was still around. Kes, Burr, and Bieksa, came up together playing for the Moose working their asses off to get to the NHL. Naslund and Linden were still there for a couple years when they came in. Then they played behind the twins. Edler had Salo, Willie Mitchell, and Ohlund.

The younger guys would develop and come into their own, while the older guys were the ones relied upon to carry the team. Here, we have a group of young guys who came in and the expectation is that they would carry the team as they developed. When they're winning, it doesn't matter. Buy when they don't perform, they carry the full burden.

They should've never let Edler and Tanev go.
